Jacob King #80
Defender
Born and raised in Wakefield, Jacob is our youngest player.
He started playing ice hockey at the age of 9 when his older brother started playing. He joined the Sheffield Swampfrogs in the under 12’s and played there until he finished under 18’s.
Unfortunately, in the last year he dislocated his knee, putting him out for the majority of the season. He then stopped playing hockey in order to play rugby - where he gained more injuries. A damaged rotator cuff in his shoulder and concussions put him out of action for even longer.
But, having learnt of the rink opening in Leeds, he decided he wanted to get involved straight away. We’re glad he became a Warrior.
Jacob is a young, fearless D man who loves the physical side of the game. He’s made a big impact already and is a big asset to our defence.
